By accessing or using Ktlyst you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Ktlyst is a web-based creative tool that allows users to collect reference images, extract visual essences, and generate new images using AI. The service is provided "as is" and features may change over time.
You must be 16 or older to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Child safety: We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and non-consensual intimate imagery. Such content is strictly prohibited. Where we become aware of it, we remove it, terminate the responsible account, preserve the content and related records, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or competent law-enforcement authorities as required by applicable law. To report such content, use the Report button on any shared board, or email our dedicated child-safety address abuse@ktlyst.art. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement first.
Your content: You retain ownership of images you upload and content you create. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the service.
Materials you provide: You are solely responsible for every image you upload, import (including through integrations such as Pinterest), paste, or otherwise add to your canvas or use as input to Catalyze ("Materials"). You represent and warrant that you own each Material or hold all rights, licences, and permissions necessary to use it for this purpose, and that your use of any Material — and of any output you create from it — does not infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party. Importing an image from a third-party source (such as a Pinterest board) does not grant you any rights in that image; obtaining any rights you need remains your responsibility. Ktlyst does not review Materials for rights clearance and assumes no responsibility for them.
Exploratory output: Catalyze surfaces exploratory directions from your References to help you find your own creative direction — it does not produce finished or commercially-cleared deliverables. You are responsible for any work you create from those directions and for clearing any rights needed before using output commercially.
Generated images: Images generated by the AI are provided to you for your use. Ownership and copyright of AI-generated images may vary by jurisdiction; you are responsible for understanding the applicable rules. AI output may not be original or eligible for copyright protection, and may unintentionally resemble existing works, trademarks, or the style of third parties. We do not warrant that generated images are free of third-party rights, and you are solely responsible for clearing any rights needed before using output commercially. We do not use your content to train our own AI models; our third-party AI providers process your content under their own terms, which you are responsible for reviewing.
Our IP: The Ktlyst platform, branding, and code are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without permission.
The service relies on third-party AI providers — currently fal.ai and OpenAI — to generate and analyze images. By using Ktlyst you acknowledge that your prompts and uploaded content are processed by these providers under their respective terms of service. We do not use your content to train AI models.
When you use a third-party integration (such as Pinterest), you are also responsible for complying with that third party's own terms of service, which may restrict how imported content can be used.
Free plan usage is provided at no charge within stated limits.
Pro subscription: Pro is a recurring subscription billed monthly through our payment processor (Stripe) at the price shown at checkout. It renews automatically each month and your payment method is charged on each renewal until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage subscription, which opens the secure billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Pro access until then and are not charged again afterwards.
One-time and add-on purchases: Catalyze top-ups are one-time, non-recurring purchases. Storage add-ons are recurring and can be cancelled the same way as Pro.
Refunds: Except where required by applicable consumer-protection law, payments are non-refundable, including for unused allowances or partial billing periods. We may grant refunds or credits at our discretion.
EU/UK consumers — right of withdrawal: If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services. By starting a paid plan and accessing paid features immediately, you request that we begin providing the service right away and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed. To the extent the service has not been fully performed, you may still withdraw within 14 days by contacting us, and we will refund the proportionate unused amount.
We may change pricing with at least 30 days notice; changes apply to the next renewal after the notice period.
The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors outside our control. We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime. Temporary unavailability does not by itself entitle you to a refund or credit, though we may provide credits at our discretion.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ktlyst and its operator from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) content you upload, import, or generate; (b) your prompts and your use of generated output, including any infringement of intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights; or (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party providers (hosting, AI, payment, email), internet or network disruptions, denial-of-service attacks, power failures, or other force majeure events. Our obligations are suspended for the duration of such events.
You may delete your account from Settings; if you have an active paid subscription, cancel it first. We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice, except in cases of serious violations which may result in immediate termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes shall be resolved in the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement. If you believe content on Ktlyst (for example, on a shared board) infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent at dmca@ktlyst.art including:
Counter-notification: If your content was removed and you believe it was removed in error or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact details, identification of the removed material and its prior location, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake. We may restore the material unless the original complainant pursues legal action.
Repeat infringers: We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
